Kalina Invoice Mobile App
Kalina was born from frustration — freelancers spend a disproportionate amount of time on administration. Invoicing is one of the biggest culprits: complex software, lengthy processes, endless forms.
Goal: an invoice in under 60 seconds, from a phone, without accounting knowledge. I designed the entire experience — from onboarding through invoice creation to payment tracking.
Research showed the biggest pain isn't filling the invoice but correctly applying VAT and gathering client data. Kalina automated these steps from history.
Solution: an intelligent summary step — a simple screen with key info (who, what, how much, by when). It increased confidence and paradoxically sped up the process.
Suggestions from previous invoices became the highest-rated feature in user reviews.
